Today I went on a guided tour of the Blue Mountains, just outside of Sydney. I learned so much that I can barely remember any of it. Lots of geographical and nature stuff. It was like being at school, only in the rain.
However, there was one thing I learned quite early on in the day that I just couldn’t get out of my head:
The Aboriginal people use kangaroo scrota (plural of scrotum – bonus learning!) as pouches.
There’s got to be a better place to keep your money than a kangaroo’s ballsac. Not to mention it doesn’t have a slot for all your credit cards. The Aboriginals must have a cash-only society.
And why the ballsac? Leather wallets aren’t made from cow balls. Are they?
No seriously, are they? Somebody let me know because my world has been rocked.
It also begs the question; what other animals’ twig and berries can we convert into fashion accessories?
If, like me, you are fascinated by this and want your own kangaroo scrotum pouch, pay a visit to the Scrotum Gift Shop. They offer “small romantic gifts with big sentimental value.”
Nothing says “I love you” like a hollowed-out wallaby ballsac.
